On this day in 1936, the RMS Queen Mary set sail from Southhampton for the first time. She would swiftly become the most popular late-thirties Atlantic liner, sailing from Southampton, England, to New York, with a stop in Cherbourg, France. Today and through the coming months, @longbeachcity continues to work on critical repairs for the Ship and inch closer to reopening so all can enjoy her storied history.
