“How do you measure success in social media?” This was a question I’ve had to ask myself over and over again. As I’ve grown in my relationship with social media, I’ve learned the most important thing for me has been my connection with my community. My work comes from a deeply personal place and if I can connect with another person through this message, I find that deeply rewarding. Social media has changed my life because of the stories and communities that connect us, especially as members of the LGBTQ community. Y’all have been with me through so many important moments of my life thanks to our online connections. I’m so grateful for this conversation at Clexacon: a badass gathering for fans and creators celebrating representation in media for LGBTQ+women, trans, and non-binary communities. I had the honor to participate in a panel with other content creators where we shared our social media journey. What’s your relationship with social media? Gracias a @clexacon @facebook @instagram for uplifting queer creators!!
