🕷🏹 Long time, no see, people. I had a stressful week so I spent the weekend taking a much needed break and doing some fun drawing. And what better fun is there than to draw two of my new favorite characters, Kate and Yelena! Having watched it probably a dozen times, at this point Hawkeye has become a comfort show of mine. So, this is a work in progress. I don’t normally show this part of my process since it tends to fall within the “ugly phase”. But hey, some of you guys are curious, so this is the base color phase - no light and shadow, only the lineart and local colors. I took a few liberties with the costumes by adding a few accents from both characters’ color schemes, Black Widow - red, Hawkeye - purple, to convey that they are indeed a team. And since red and purple are analogous, it was quite easy to incorporate the colors and still maintain the integrity of the characters. I also try to capture the characters’ (really the actors’) likeness as best I can within reason of the style chosen.
