HES042 by @pearsonsound is out today! Link 👆 I love this record. David's been one of my favourite producers for such a long time now and I think this is one of his best releases. It's varied but there's a clear thread running through the 12", and from the first beat of each track you can hear his signature. His work with melody is sometimes overlooked and it's foregrounded here. As always, the tracks come alive on a system - I've been playing WIP versions of some of these for 18 months now and they're so dynamic and powerful! The lo-res clip I've attached is of the end of my set at Primavera this summer - big moment, endless ID messages and an appropriately coloured 6am sunrise! 'Around In Circles' is maybe the sleeper hit on the record.. We closed Printworks with it the other day and I loved sending people home with that track ringing out. Some big memories attached to these tunes already! Big up David!
