Yellowstone’s northern range provides critical winter habitat for ungulates, including elk, bison, and deer, which in turn provide food for predators, such as wolves, coyotes, and mountain lions. Although most of the roads in Yellowstone are closed to regular vehicles during the winter, this is one of the few areas of the park that can be accessed year-round through the North Entrance, making it a great place to view winter wildlife. Have you ventured into Yellowstone’s northern range during the winter? If so, tell us about your favorite wildlife sighting! 🚗Stay Informed.
