Continuing with our recap of 2022, We were blessed to connect with @11chuckcooper the son of 1 of the first 3 Black players in the NBA, Chuck Cooper. That connection turned into a Capsule collection honoring the first 3 Black players that broke the color barrier in the NBA. In 1950, Chuck Cooper, Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, and Earl Lloyd all became the first Black players in the NBA. The collection garnered support from players throughout the league and Tribe member @stephencurry30 wore the Hoodie after winning MVP of the Allstar Game.
