'save' for planning — Tips for driving the Going-To-The-Sun road in Fall time ⬇️🍂 Driving this road was such an incredible experience, and I plan to go back next year in the fall to do it all over again! Here are a few tips for making your trip easier next year: 🍂 Reservations for the road are not required past Sept 11 so if you want to guarantee your access, plan to drive after that date 🗺 Pick up a paper map and circle all the fun stops you want to check out. This will make stopping easier and less chaotic 💦 Fill up with water. The park turns water off near the end of the season, so make sure you have lots of it! ⛽️ Fill up with gas beforehand. Saint Mary is very expensive so try avoiding filling up there 🏕 Many campgrounds are closed and offer primitive services. Arrive/grab your site early because all campgrounds open this late are FCFS. ⏰ Budget for LOTS of time! This was such an amazing experience. Have you ever driven this road before?
