Back in 2002, me and my then girlfriend Sara, was on our maiden voyage to the country of Pura Vida. Already at the airport, the jetlag was gone in an instant and we felt at peace, stoked on the adventure times ahead. It was the end of the rainy season, so the rental was struggling but we had the eyes firmly set on the price, Santa Teresa all the way out on the Nicoya Peninsula. We fell in love with Santa and the rest is history. Now two decades later I am still as thrilled to spend yet another winter in my my favorite part of the world.
