What a year 2022 has been for Black Men Hike! What you are witnessing is our first Youth Hike. We can’t describe how special it was to see the joy and brightness in the eye of these young souls throughout the day. Thank you @kidsabove for allowing us the opportunity to work with your amazing group of kids from Colorado. Thank you @vibe.tribe.adventures for sponsoring this event. We are so proud of where we have come and where we plan to go! Black Men Hike was created as a safe space to get Black Men in nature to enjoy its serenity and the mental, physical, social, spiritual benefits it create as a collective. But it has always been bigger than just that. Black Men Hike was also created so that we have more tools to be better stewards of our communities. To help us be the best fathers, sons, husbands and brothers. We want our youth to see the benefits of nature and how it can help with our mental health. We want them to see to how special our earth is and how connected our people are to it. And just as importantly, we want them to see that we care about them and their future.
