🃏What’s on the cards for you today? @dinnerbyhb we are introducing a new service hack to enhance your experience. ‘For me, food is about emotion. How we feel will influence how we experience a meal, even how we taste it. So, the question is: How do you feel today? What style of service do you feel like having? There has never been so much opportunity for distraction, all around us there are interruptions, telephones and tech kit that send us notifications, machines from cars to dishwashers that bleep all the time (the list is endless). We are disconnected from the most intimate relationship we have; with ourselves.’ Heston How can we let our imagination freely operate, access wonderful past moments and discover new things about ourselves and our relationship with the planet while being constantly interrupted or distracted (or rather allowing us to be)? We want our guests to find fulfilment and pleasure in the simple activity of eating a meal with us. To make this possible we asked ourselves this question - Is it possible to adjust the level of interruption our restaurant tables? Imagine; you’re in the middle of a joke, a funny or emotional conversation or just in the moment on your own enjoying your emotional relationship with the food and wine in front of you, and someone comes and asks you ‘how is everything?’ or ‘do you like it?’. Or the food is abruptly put down in front of you, cutting straight across the conversation or your moment whilst you are told what every ingredient on the dish is. We came up with this - On each table we’ll be placing these cards. They allow you to turn up or down the level of interaction with our front of house team. You decide when to hear more about our food and stories and when to be left to yourself to enjoy the moment alone. It’s all up to you and you can change your mind throughout the meal with the simple turning of a card. Each card reflects your potential mood at anytime during your visit.
