The Chicago Symphony Orchestra celebrated a diverse array of music this weekend at @raviniafestival, highlighting the music of Mexico in a concert on Friday evening and honoring the profound impact of composer Stephen Sondheim on Sunday. Friday’s festive program, led by conductor @carlosmiguelprieto_conductor, featured works by Mexican composers @gabrielaortizcomposer and José Pablo Moncayo, Aaron Copland’s evocative El Salón México, Debussy’s Spanish-inspired Ibéria and Ravel’s Piano Concerto performed by @conradtao.
