I recently built a Magic Carpet for friend here in Bali. But she got caught by a rather large set up the top off the reef that instantly transformed her board into two pieces. I was devastated. She loved that board, it was her very first custom and she said it was the best board she’d ever surfed.⁠ ⁠ As the weeks went by, I just felt sad that she had lost her magical board and so I made her another one and when it was ready, I tried to secretly slip it over the fence into her garden one evening.
