SPACES OF JOY. A pilot programme for producers led by neurodivergent and learning disabled artists and practitioners to upskill, develop and get producers closer to the work of LD/ND artists. ✨ Today I am so pleased / relieved / proud to be launching this programme that I have been cooking up for nearly 2 years. ✨ I first dreamed this up as a research project for venues before realising actually, what I wanted and what we needed was more freelance producers engaging with LD/ND artists. With every disabled led org consistently at capacity, we need more support for artists and support for producers who want to make this work and advocate for these artists, but who don’t currently feel they have the resource to do so. ✨ The fear of getting it wrong often leads to a lack of action. I want to combat that head on. I want to see change happening on all sides, producer, artists and organisation and this programme aims to link all of this together so commitments can be made. ✨ Please check out my website for more details and I hope to hear from many of you. @thehalearts
