When we can learn to truly be in the present moment, then we can look deeply into why we suffer. When we can observe where our suffering is coming from, then we can accept it and care for it. Any emotion that we might label as negative needs our true presence and mindfulness. The more present we are, the more the emotion loses its strength over us. One day, the emotion will dissipate on its own and it won’t come back. How can we learn to be more present and mindful? By giving our full attention to the present moment and letting go of thoughts about the future or past that don’t really serve us. The breath connects our mind and body, it is a wonderful tool to ground ourselves in the present moment and bring us peace. 2 to 3 minutes of slow belly breathing is all we need to calm the mind, calm the nervous system, and bring a feeling of ease into our bodies. Sending love and peace to all beings 🙏🏼
