Third times the charm. After sitting in anchorage for a week with one flight cancelled and the second flight went but on the decent we had to turn back to anchorage due to the pilots window freezing. Those crushing words from the pilot we have turn back as there isn’t anyone on the ground that can fix this. Finally we got on a charter flight that left on the snow covered runways and ascended into blue sky. When the mountain range appeared and the clouds parted I was in complete shock of what I was seeing. The trip came so close to being called off, if it wasn’t for the persistence of the crew the trip of a lifetime would not have happened.
