and finally she is a GRADUATE π©πΎβπ class of 2020
When I drove onto the Warwick Campus 2015, I could have never imagined it would only be in 2022 I would be able to walk across that stage and finally wear my cap and gown π©πΎβπ
But life aye!
What was a 3 year degree took 5 and then I spent an additional 2 years waiting due to our good sis corona.
My university journey was by far the greatest challenge of my life, the details of which can be found on the later slides of this post. Nothing could have prepared me for the challenges I would face. Constant ill health 28 hospital admissions, varying in a day to month in stay. When I finally completed in 2020 although I was really proud of myself, I genuinely really struggled because I asked myself if it was worth it. Yes I got an amazing law degree from a great university, but was it worth how unwell it essentially made me.
That was a crazy journey, of real depression and a deep sadness. But Iβm glad I can say 2 years later that I think it was. Warwick taught me things that I donβt think I would have learnt anywhere else.
Iβm so grateful for how it stretched me, developed my character and the ridiculously beautiful community I formed from it!
I can only express GRATITUDE.
So onwards and upwards, thank you Warwick, thank you God, glad I can finally close that chapter...
