Rarely have I felt so humbled as I did last night when I met the team who have been operating our @legacyofwarfoundation ambulance here in Ukraine @evgeniy_ursalov @simonmads1 @helpukraine_team 🇺🇦 (Yes, it seems there was a black T-shirt dress code!) Every day they are evacuating the injured, critically ill and those living with disabilities from the frontlines in Donbass. They are volunteers carrying out their work with such bravery and compassion. Alongside the lifesaving medical equipment in the back of the ambulance, they showed me where they’ve installed a laptop by the gurney. Why? It’s connected to a webcam on the ambulance dashboard, so the patient can watch the screen and see where they are going, to help their anxiety and sense of isolation. It’s that attention to detail in making sure their patients are cared for to the highest degree, despite the dangers they face themselves, that truly make these teams heroes. We are so proud to be supporting their work. 🇺🇦 In the coming weeks we will be fundraising for a second ambulance.
