A truly sad day, an icon of practical effects reporting, including makeup and animatronics has ceased publication. Cinefex helped inspire, launch and document careers through it’s 40+ year run. Dick Smith was featured a number of times, most notably issue 4, Altered States, issue 33, an overview of Dick’s remarkable aging makeups, issue 46, a look back at the Gofather, trilogy and number 62, a career retrospective.
