Hospital food isn’t exactly known for its culinary greatness. However, the Dining Commons at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center is looking to improve that reputation. Genesis Robinson, the new administrative director of food and nutrition at UCLA Health, is spicing things up. As a nod to UCLA Health’s commitment to equity and diversity, the Dining Commons has started serving foods from a variety of different cultures. So far, new dishes have been served for Hispanic Heritage Month and Diwali, and there are special menus planned for Christmas and Hannukkah in December.
