Of all the photos Char and I shared together I don’t know why this one has always stuck out to me as my favorite. Maybe it’s bc I remember this outing fondly, as the marker of the first official day we became friends for life. We decided to go to Ikea together, or maybe she obliged to come keep me company so she could eat these damn meatballs she had gone on and on about and how we MUST eat at the cafeteria there, like it was some hidden gem haha. And so we sat there inside the Ikea for hours chatting about nothing and everything - but I found myself absolutely charmed in that moment, like I was sitting with an angel reincarnate. Im sure everyone felt that way in her presence. She had a magic that could disarm you, make you feel like you could show the most vulnerable parts of yourself without judgment, but instead feel loved for it. Like salve on your wounds. That was my Char. I’m going to miss our morning barre classes and running errands together with our pups in tow. Kanunu always getting more attention than Duddy 🙄 And let’s not forget about irritating Lou with our wild puzzle parties- we never did get that specialized puzzle lamp we always talked about for our evening sessions. We won’t get to do a lot of things we talked about doing together my bud - and just when we finally found a Mexican restaurant we can both agree on! I can’t even believe I’m having to write this, or that I have to now live in a world without you in it. You left us too soon Char, but you will forever be in my heart, my friend for life, my favorite person. I love you my bud. Rest In Peace 🕊
