A week ago today, 4 Black, Indigenous and People of Color climate justice activists experienced brutal, racist police violence during a FFF Germany meeting in Berlin-Kreuzberg. They were threatened and insulted by the @polizeiberlin, they were denied medical help and their mobile phones were confiscated. Whether at the European external borders or in Berlin-Kreuzberg, racist police violence is one of the everyday tools of the police as a organ of repression. The police were present with at least 4 large police cars, the dark-skinned activist from the group was attacked in a targeted manner and got brutally handcuffed. In order to get the passwords, the police threatened the activists. An activist just turned 18 that night. The continuous exploitation of the Global South, ongoing disenfranchisement of indigenous territories and the immeasurable suffering of BIPoC climate refugees make it clear that climate justice is only possible with racial justice!
