But I have calmed and quoted my soul. Something God is teaching me from the past few weeks and during this trip is that I don’t always need to have a big emotional experience to feel God close. On a mission trip to Mexico it is easy to see how God is working, but oftentimes in the busy repetitive motions of life it feels like God isn’t as close. God is teaching me that whether on a mountaintop spiritually in Monterrey, or going through the motions during the week, he is just as present a help in struggle as a he is in the good times. Sometimes when I feel God isn’t close, is the time he is closest. He is just waiting for me to step out in faith towards him so he can direct my steps.
