Social Media tip for models (especially the shy ones) Over the past few years, I’ve learned to be OKAY (yes just okay) to accept the fact that selfies are an inevitable part of our industry. Not only do they serve you as “makeup inspo” for your clients for your gigs , but also people often get cast through Instagram. No, the numbers don’t matter as much as they did years ago (in our industry - yay news) but it is important to be okay with posting raws as well... Because it’s cheaper/ easier for casting directors now to cast models online as opposed to traditional GoSees. BUT the best part for the shy ones out there. It’s soooo wonderful to work on your self-esteem, and confidence through self-portraits. Throws me back to @modelworkshops we did via zoom, but hey, I hope you’re still on top of it all and know it already. I’m here to remind you about the importance of these selfies while also posting them for Client references, while breathing through the slight discomfort of sharing them. It’s our job at the end of the day, and you guys love it in some capacity 🤤👀🥰 Makeup by @tiffanyleighpatton Hair @errolkaradag Jeans custom made @unspun.io @thealist.us #nyfw#happyfashionweek#fashionweek#ss2022#selfie#makeup#naturalmakeup
