It’s been 10 years and I’m back in Milan holding the role of a huffy Milanese lady over 40 as I settle at Casa degli Artisti for the summer/fall season. Here I perform my duties mentoring 7 artists and 2 curators during a residency. The latter I chose alone, among a handful of relevant candidates. With the help of an external committee, we chose our artists among 300 applicants. They’ll be the focus of our upcoming choreographies and thought experiments. The next 9 posts will be geared towards the presentation of bits and pieces of the space that is currently hosting us and my travel companions. As usual they’ll be dressed and accessorized with garments from my hypertrophic wardrobe. Casa degli Artisti, whose Steering Committee supports us at every stage, is the light flooding the 3 exhibition floors. A story that began in the early 1900s and was enlivened throughout many seasons thanks to numerous tutelary deities. I’m glad to contribute to this new inspiring phase. Approdato a Casa degli Artisti per la stagione estate/autunno, rivesto l’inusuale ruolo di mentore di 7 artist* e 2 curatrici in residenza. Le ultime le ho individuate in autonomia tra manciate di decine di significativ* applicant*. Con loro supportat* da una valida commissione esterna, abbiamo scelto, tra 300 applicanti, l* artist* protagonist* delle nostre imminenti coreografie ed esperimenti del pensiero. I prossimi 9 post presentano in vari scorci dello spazio che ci ospita l* mie* attuali compagn* di viaggio un* alla volta. Come per tradizione, saranno vestit* e accessoriat* con elementi prelevati dal mio ipertrofico guardaroba. Casa degli Artisti, il cui comitato direttivo ci sostiene e supporta in ogni fase, è soprattutto luce che penetra invadente i 3 piani espositivi. Una storia avviata a inizio ‘900 e movimentata in varie stagioni grazie a diversi numi tutelari. Sono felice di contribuire alla stimolazione di questa fase attuale. #spaziolibero
