One of the most beautiful Stromanthe specimens we've ever seen, courtesy of our very own @nicklibasci. We gave out our self watering planters to our staff about a year ago, and this is what Nick has come back to us with. We're floored. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ Nick keeps this Stromanthe next to (but not in front of) a west facing window, and refills the water reservoir every 4-5 days. Stromanthe are notoriously difficult to keep in good shape in the indoor environment, but our self watering planters help provide a consistent source of water, which is extremely beneficial to certain types of plants. Generally, we advise our customers to let the reservoir dry out for a few days after it's depleted, but it really depends on the plant. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ The second picture is of the plant when it was first potted a year ago, and the third picture is the roots as they are now.
