Tomorrow at our West London exhibition space The Garrison Chapel, a special trio of events will tell the story of creativity and industry in Romania.
From 3-5pm, three successive speakers from Romania will present an authentic insight into Transylvanian heritage and nature.
Eugen Vaida, an architect and founder of Ambulance For Monuments, will make a presentation about ”Safeguarding the landscape of roofs”, going into depth about the work of volunteers doing hands-on training for safeguarding heritage at risk.
Then, Diana Iabrașu, storyteller, volunteer of Monumentum Association, will continue with a introduction to the empire of Blue, an intensive educational programme focusing on the arts and crafts for the next ten years in Sona village, a place that inspired the great Romanian painter Stefan Caltia, whose exhibition Paths in Transylvania runs daily at The Garrison Chapel until Sunday.
The day will end with the launch of the book Ștefan Câlția: Path in Transylvania, an unique album of said exhibition.
The Garrison Chapel is The Prince’s Foundation’s space at Chelsea Barracks where we showcase the work of our students and graduates as well as, such as in this case, exhibitions by guest artists.
Entry is free and all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there! The Garrison Chapel is open from 11am-4pm daily and is located at Chelsea Barracks, London, SW1W 8BG.
