Yesterday Wednesday July 13th 2022 at St Johns Hospital.. But first let me take you back to the build up to this day... . On Monday June 20th, only a month after having our baby daughter Milo Grae, we got the call (after I had a biopsy done from a bad leg mole the week prior) that I have melanoma skin cancer . TO NOTE there are 3 main types of skin cancer 🤷🏼‍♀️ who knew right!!?! -Basel Cell -Squamous Cell Carcinoma -Melanoma and Melanoma is NOT the one you want to get.. obviously none are ideal, but Melanoma is the worse out of these 3 🤪🤦🏼‍♀️ . It was / is at a deeper stage than what they’d liked to have caught; the depth of it being 2.5mm / stage 2b with ulceration 🥺 basically; not good because at this stage, there’s a higher risk that it could have spread to my lymph nodes 😱🤯 . ANYWAYS 🙄🤪 yesterday I had the surgery procedure classed as a wide leg excision for the malignant melanoma which is on my leg above my knee plus lymphatic imaging and mapping for the lymph node in my groin that was taken out to be biopsy’d to see if it has spread 😬🤯 *If ANYONE that reads this has ever had this fluid for lymph node mapping, injected into them YOU KNOW the pain that comes with each injection 💉🙃🔥☄️ the sheer burn and harsh stinging sensation made me literally scream 😱 out load and completely squash Graham’s hand 😂 . So now it’s the waiting game resting up at home as I can only hobble around right now 😆🤣 on one leg 🦵🏻 under strict instructions by Docs to put leg up to aide in the healing ❤️‍🩹 . We’ll get the call next week with the results and PRAYING to my angels 👼🏼 that it’s not spread and that they got it all out 👊🏻🙏🏻 I have been keeping positive throughout this entire time (obviously had my moments 😢) BUT I’ve been working still 😃🥳 cracking on with everything as it WILL it WILL be ok 👌🏻👍🏻 because it just HAS TO BE 👊🏻💪🏻 .
