These “routes” I’m describing are your neurological pathways. When your body gets used to firing the same neurons on a daily basis and suddenly you change your routine, environment, or experiences your mind now has to use new pathways that it’s not use to using. That is physically uncomfortable for your body; the same way your incredibly sore the first time you work out when you haven’t for a while. When you experience change, your body is physically change on a neurological level.
