Sometimes doing the right thing isn’t the right thing for the song. I’ve never been afraid to have a singer just hold a tube mic and sing. You shouldn’t be afraid to take risks in music. If you want your guitar to sound like it’s far away then put the mic far away! We get too reliant on plug ins to create our sounds rather than capturing it right at the source.
