This was one of the first photos taken of me at home after losing my legs - I just want to tell every single young person out there who feels less than because of they look, or feels less than because the way they have to do things is different than those around them, that they are so beautiful. So strong. So worthy. So amazing. So tenacious. So intelligent. So determined. That they will go far in life. That they will be able to chase their dreams. That they are not inadequate. That they are not behind in life. And most of all, That it does not mean that they’re not beautiful, and it does not mean that they are not loved. I think it is so freaking sad that we focus on how people look, or we focus on what they might not be able to do, or what they have to do differently. If someone has taken their time to get their license or if achieved something you might of years ago - don’t judge them. You don’t know what it took for them to get there. Celebrate them, and celebrate that achievement. Please know that everyone’s path and journey is different - you’re not failing & you’re not less than. Everyone’s journey looks different and it doesn’t mean you’re behind in life. Never stop chasing your dreams because you’re made to believe you’re not capable. Believe in yourself.
