Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. Tanni is known across the world for her prolific athletics career. From ‘88 in Seoul until her retirement as an athlete in 2007, she dominated Paralympic athletics and owned the London Marathon. From the track, to the boardroom, to the Houses of Parliament. After retiring from competition, Tanni channelled her energy into policy. Alongside her crossbencher role in the House of Lords, she has held numerous positions in various sporting and charitable organisations. In July, she commenced her role as Chair of Sport Wales. A passionate advocate of sport and equal opportunity for everyone, we wish Tanni the very best of luck in her new role.
