Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to our present moment experience with kindness and curiosity. The way we practice mindfulness is through meditation. With meditation, we start to pay more attention to our thoughts, to our feelings, to our desires, and our struggles. It is from this space of observation that we start to get to know ourselves, we start to understand all the confusion that we carry with us and we start the journey of letting go of everything that is not us. It is only when we know ourselves that we are able to understand and have compassion for all beings who are holding the same struggles, fears, and desires just like us.
