This year has started with the intense love of all mankind. It has started, begun, branched off from the last, sprouted, pushed forth, sent itself into a spin, with a big communion of everyone. The people I know the people I want the people i see the people I hear the people I glance over and feel. When you date a boy, and then you get engaged to a boy, and you live with a boy, and you work day in and day out coming home to a boy - and when you live with another boy who is your boy’s friend. And when that boy comes home from work. And when they, the boys, and me, the girl, are all together - you wind up with a lot more boys at your house than just the two you live with and the one of the two that you romance at sunrise sunset and midday too. There are lots of boys who come to your house everyday, every week, every month, every year, every century. And when they come over to your house, or when you go meet them at a bar, or when you go smoke a joint with them overlooking the city or when you all hop in a 4-seater, 6 or 7 total, and ride over to the gas station for papers or when you need a beer and you walk down the street - they become your friends the boys do. Sometimes you are a busy girl with little headroom, minimum headroom, and sometimes other girls are too difficult. They won’t make plans and they won’t follow thru or if they do they want your house clean or their house clean or they want to meet for an hour and a half and then go off and do something else other than hang out with the girl who is their friend. When that happens and when the boys become your friends because they are always in your house - that is when the boys become your best friends, not just your friends that come to your house. You start to stay up until morning talking to them about boobs and time-space and other places you’d like to live and Young Thug and grilling up burgers and frying up fish and football basketball baseball sports and the view from the top of the mountain. And you never think you will miss it because it’s right there. You will miss it in the middle of the night, in the middle of day, and there is where we find the boys and toast to unwavering reality.
