I've had the pleasure of working for one of the best English wine producers in existence, so I know first hand the painstaking process of making wine in England. We're nailing it though, with quality going stratospheric thanks to the best winemaking we've ever had, better quality grapes and developments like the recent Sussex PDO driving quality skyward. It's an exciting time to call yourself British, if I say so myself. I don't know why I wouldn't.
