I, like many chefs, grew up watching Iron Chef and have always dreamed of cooking in kitchen stadium. If you didn’t know, I worked behind the scenes on several seasons of Iron Chef - admiring and watching some of the greatest chefs cook in real time. As a young cook, it inspired me to strive to become a great chef one day. I’ve always hesitated when it came to cooking competitions- and I turned down most opporuntities. But when I got the call for a chance to compete on Iron Chef, I had no hesitation. It would be an opportunity of a lifetime. Competing in kitchen stadium takes an extreme amount of passion, competitive spirit, strategy and concentration. It’s not just about great food, but the will and hunger to be the best that you can be.
