Here’s some tips on Balayage on textured or curly hair. Tension is essential! If your tension is weak, you will create spots because your lightener will miss the valleys of the curls and only hit the peaks. If your client wears her hair curly most of the time then it will look darker when curly vs when straight so make adjustments in your sectioning to show more or less blonde depending on her goals.
