More to come, but a quick note here to let everyone know that Polar Sun landed safely in Nome harbor last night after an east to west transit of the Northwest Passage. All told we sailed 5,877 nautical miles from southern Maine to Alaska over 112 days. Thanks to all of you who followed along. Knowing you were out there pulling for us meant everything to our crew ! I can say that as the skipper of a boat that has spent over 100 days in these waters, what you think about when passing through the Bering Strait is not a feeling of accomplishment or triumph. The thoughts going through my mind revolved around the foul current, the sea state, wind direction, and whether I could make port before the next southerly gale. @expedition.studios #OnAssignment
