diving into this one with the doulas over at @joincentered for our monthly book club. phew! “The terrain of mothering is not limited to the people who give birth to children; it is not defined by gender.” - @angelagarbes i have set with this thought a lot as a birthworker caring for many. there are so many ways in which people mother others, mother their children, and care for their communities without acknowledgement. i am not even halfway through and i want to unpack so much but i will wait for the discussion in a few weeks. 🤓
