Almost 10 years ago when I was working in news there was a cycle about how working moms are doing everything with so little resources. Two years ago they voted on legislation that would help EVERY family and provide reaources for childcare and maternity leave. The news played it off like it was charity when in reality it was just a reallocation of budget and government voted against it.
