I trusted myself this weekend and ended up surprising myself with my first US title! 🇺🇸 My goal was to channel the confidence and fearlessness I see in so many of my incredible counterparts and most importantly to prove to myself that I belong. Imposter syndrome has plagued me for a long time and I have tried to make it a point to believe in myself as much as my amazing support system believes in me. “I’m a work in progress” is the mantra I adopted during a particularly tough fall for me. It reminds me that as long as I’m consistently working on myself and putting forth my best effort on the track and in life, then I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Thank you to @usatf @thepodiumusa for a great weekend, I’m honored to be a part of my first indoor world’s team with @josettenorris. As always, all the performances this weekend have left me inspired, especially the gritty performances of my teammates @elleruns_4_her_life and @millieformiles.
