I’m here in Istanbul with @marigolddesignhouse for a multi-day Pakistani wedding. It’s exciting, exhilarating and a super fast paced kind of vibe. Beautiful and chaotic, lots of good energy, just the way I like it. The wedding festivities officially began yesterday with a Nikkah (Muslim Ceremony) at Ortakoy Mosque. And today and tomorrow will ramp up with more ceremonies and traditions (shehndi & walima). I’m in awe by the whole experience and it’s truly different than any western wedding I’ve photographed. The first two pics are from the ceremony and the rest show some of the neighborhoods we’ve explored since we’ve been here. From endless sips of Turkish coffee to visiting the grand bazaar, Bosphorus river, the blue mosque, Taksim Square, Galata Tower and everything in between, there truly hasn’t been one uneventful moment.
