I just got back from an 8 day, 2,500 mile road trip with my pops. This is the longest road trip we have ever done together and I took him through Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks for his first time. This was the first trip in my adult life where my dad and I were not the beer industry, and it was also the first time my dad has ever stayed in a trailer, which was phenomenal to watch his learning curve of moving his enormous luggage around all week 😂😂 We experienced a ton on this trip- my brakes going bad and needing to find an emergency repair when we got to Glacier, to someone throwing up in front of us on the bus, to finding his new favorite bar in St. Mary, Montana. These are the trips I’ve learned to cherish so much more as I’ve gotten older because I know one day they won’t be possible anymore. It was amazing being able to share so much of the beauty I have been able to see with my dad and I will forever be grateful for this experience since I owe so much of my life and career to my dad. I love my old man and he may not experience the wilderness in the same way I do, but I’ve learned to just appreciate our time in it together as much as I possibly can!
