Flor de Mayo (📍484 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY) is one of the few remaining Chino-Latino restaurants in the city. I met with brothers, Dennis & Marvin, as they shared their family business’ story with me. I tried and sketched the following dishes: lomo saltado with green rice, pollo a la brasa with fried rice, squid ink fried rice, chupe de camarones, and broiled pork chops.
