That little girl would be so proud!! And I try really hard to remember that in seasons where I’m not feeling proud of myself, or when I’m not feeling “successful” enough. Comparison is the thief of joy... isn’t that the truth!? Lately, I’ve been comparing myself and my talent, and have been compared to other artists by clients. It’s hard to not let those things get to you... when you feel like you were the makeup artist someone went with because their first picks were already booked, or that you don’t measure up against other artists in your market. But that little girl never thought she could do makeup as a career, and I refuse to let her down, or my two sweet baby girls! I’m always learning, always growing, and will never stop chasing this dream of mine 💞
