When we first heard about this club with free fried chicken and malt liquor we did the 40oz bounce to check it out. Not sure if it was at Amsterdams on Bway or the 1 off on Broome and Bowery but it was way before Brothers BBQ and S.O.B's. I recall having Bojangles and Popeyes at the bar of Vandams or was it Buddha Bar? and taking a mental note not to eat dinner on Tuesdays. For us, greasy fingers and Colt45 were protocol and the posse showing up by foot every night of the week was expected, we were the locals, we had it like that. But what we left with was way more important than a full stomach. we left with an education. from the slide shows to everyone's favorite songs like this, we jammed, sang, danced, stumbled and learned about all these samples that raised us thru hiphop. Would like to thank Dj @frankieinglese and @jlube64 for teaching us know it alls about the funk.
