⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ ➤ DISPOSE OF WASTE PROPERLY DO NOT LEAVE TRASH ON TRAILS ➤ RESPECT WILDLIFE AND DON’T FEED THEM ➤ BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHER VISITORS ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ As with many winter hikes the winter trail is different than the summer trail! Also, there is avalanche danger so proceed with caution. Mt. Rainier is so shy in the Winter. We barely get a glimpse of her all season long. But if we are lucky and have a clear day, head on over to the Paradise area it’s so beautiful 🤩. You don’t even need to snowshoe to enjoy your time here. There are many families playing in the snow in the designated kid’s section. So fun ❄️. 📍Mazama Ridge ⛰️ Mileage: 6 miles, roundtrip 🥾 Elevation Gain: 900 ft. ✨ Difficulty: Moderate Before setting out on any winter hikes suggested by anyone on the internet make sure to do your own research! Winter hiking can be very dangerous, due to hypothermia, avalanches, and tree wells. If you want more information I have a blog post on best winter hikes in Washington. Click link in bio and then click “22 Best Winter Hikes In Washington State”. I even have a blog on snowshoeing at Mt. Rainier! Also, save this post for future reference.
