Enamel destroying acid, flinty as your crazy uncle’s zippo from ‘nam. Outstanding production as you would expect from two legends. I Vignieri Vigna di Milo Caselle South slope Etna high elevation Carricante. Lemony, star fruit, some floral notes. Medium acid with citrus and mineral. This wine punches well above the weight class of any other 12% abv that comes to mind. Complex but approachable and delicate. We’ll be drinking this all summer. Le Puy Marie-Cecile Named after family matriarch Marie-Cecile who ran the vineyard in the 1870s while the men were off at war, this 100% Semillon is likely similar in nature to it’s namesake. Firm but fair. Waxy mouthfeel, nutty, acidic, floral and minerals. Never ending finish. Chateau Simone Rose Dark provencal rose almost rosato like in color. Savory and bright. Drinks like you’re sprinting through a wild strawberry field blindfolded with an open mouth. Juicy long finish that you pray never ends. 45% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault, 20% Syrah, Castet, Manosquin, Carignan, Muscat Noir & Blanc. I Vigneri Rosato Vinudilice Mix of mainly Alicante with Grecanico, Minnella, and a handful of other varietals from vines over 100 years old. Cherry, peach, strawberry, volcanic soil minerality, subtle notes of ash. Clos Cibonne Rose Tibouren A renowned icon made from Tibouren and Grenache. More of an orange rose color, this is a warm spring day on a field in provence in a bottle. Honeydew, peach, red berries and subtle herbal notes of rosemary and sage. Tissot Rose Massale Selection Massale from an entirely pink Chardonnay. Ripping acidity, slightly reductive at first. Yellow apples, ripe peach, honey. Super juicy long evolving finish. Extremely impressive.
