It was 17 years ago that a couple of sober angels took my drunk butt to Cedars where I wailed on the floor until they gave me a bed. After 12 days of detox, I landed at Friendly House where I found my forever family. Thank you Peggy for taking me in and giving me a scholarship so I could stay an additional month. It's surreal to think that I now have her position as Executive Director and I get to continue helping women the way she did. Yesterday I plucked a woman out of her broken down car in a super sketchy neighborhood and brought her to Friendly House. It's what we do. If you are new, this program works.
