I Pledge, 2020 (Pre-Act) This work is a compilation film/visual moodboard of Jamaican archival material I sourced off the internet. This was originally made a while back as a therapeutic assignment to myself when the world was facing so much social turmoil. Especially during George Floyd, I wanted to create something that felt patriotic and empowering to my cultural identity— triggering childhood memories of iconography, sounds and visuals. It represents Jamaica’s journey and development throughout time. I edited this myself horribly and then lost the original file, so it is very glitchy and the sound is not mixed. It’s been sitting in my files so thought I should share— very wholesome if you understand all the references. No copyright infringement intended
