Catherine, Princess of Wales, has paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II by wearing a necklace once owned by the monarch. The four strand diamond pearl choker was worn regularly by the Queen in the 1980s and 1990s and was loaned to Diana, the former Princess of Wales, in 1982. Catherine first wore it to the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th anniversary dinner in 2017, and later to Prince Philip's funeral in 2021. The Duchess of Sussex also paid tribute through her choice of jewellery, wearing a pair of pearl stud earrings, which the Queen had given her as a gift for her wedding to Prince Harry.
